Rohi Cell Group
Rohi Cell Group is one of the first three cell groups created in KCP, mid 2008, when the cell groups were introduced in the parish.
Short for “Jehovah Rohi” – The Lord is my Shepherd—the Cell got its name from Psalm 23. In Psalm 23, the psalmist declares and encourages us that because the Lord is our shepherd, we shall not be in want. Members of the cell group have built their faith around these words and have indeed not been in want.
Rohi prides itself as pace- setter for the other cell groups. Even though it has been the group to undergo the greatest change overtime, the group has demonstrated an inner strength which could only have come from the great Shepherd.
Rohi has birthed two pastors, its first and second leaders, in Covina, Southern California and in Dallas, Texas, respectively. Its erstwhile assistant leader has just been appointed a leader of another cell group in KCP. The current leader has been with the group since its creation in 2008. She served the, first, as assistant leader and, then, as leader since April 2010.
With recent changes in the constitution of the groups Rohi lost all but one of its members to other groups. Nevertheless, we are not deterred for the Lord our Shepherd will continue to guide us as we continue to set the pace for the others.
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want (Ps. 23. 1)
